My clients for this RV have adult children and one grandchild who won't be coming camping with them often, but they still wanted a place for them to sleep if and when they did come. The goal for the bunks was to add a little storage, which was super hard given that there is no floor space around the bunks with the bathroom door and slide being directly to the left and right.
AFTER BEFORE
So I decided to get a little creative and make some storage on the top bunk! I did that by adding flooring to the floor of the top bunk, and then I used two Ikea Trones units to create super slim storage up here. Now the kids that stay here will have space for their clothes, and even some floor space for toys and books!
I painted the walls, the ladder, and the frame around the bunks white (color linked below) and did the same pop of maroon that we used in the kitchen renovation (also linked below).
Then I added a new puck light for the bottom bunk and the original blinds.
For bedding, I went with the tried and true Beddys because they are absolutely perfect for RVs! Making RV bunk beds is so much easier with Beddys. The style I used is linked below.
See the links below for all the sources I used to create this space!
